Abstract

The evolution of languages is often shaped by various socio-political and cultural factors. This article explores the influence of modernity on the Urdu language, focusing on its linguistic transformation over the last few decades. It examines how the integration of technology, globalization, and the influence of Western culture have impacted Urdu's structure, vocabulary, and usage in daily life. The paper also analyzes the effect of media, education, and social networks on language development, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of these influences. The study concludes by discussing the future of Urdu in an increasingly globalized world and suggests strategies to preserve its unique characteristics while embracing modernity.
