Abstract

In the evolving landscape of Urdu literature, women writers have carved out a significant space that challenges traditional narratives and brings forward the experiences, struggles, and voices of women in Pakistani society. This paper explores the burgeoning presence of female authors in Urdu literature, focusing on their thematic concerns, literary innovations, and their role in redefining cultural and gender roles. By examining the works of contemporary Urdu women writers, this study highlights how their narratives have contributed to the development of a more inclusive literary tradition. The paper also discusses the critical reception of these works and evaluates the social and cultural barriers these writers face in a patriarchal literary environment.
