Abstract

Interdisciplinary research has emerged as a transformative approach to addressing complex global challenges such as climate change, public health crises, poverty alleviation, and technological disruptions. Unlike traditional disciplinary boundaries, interdisciplinary research fosters integration of knowledge from diverse fields, enabling innovative solutions. This paper explores the evolution of interdisciplinary research, its growing significance in academia, and its application in resolving multifaceted issues at both local and global scales. It also highlights challenges such as methodological conflicts, resource allocation, and institutional barriers while proposing frameworks for fostering collaboration and long-term impact.
